After a spectacular day with the ranks 1 and 2, Carmen and Emma Cowles (Larchmont YC) jumped from rank 13 to 6th, just one point in front of Nikole Barnes/Lara Dallman-Weiss (St. Francis YC/New York YC), putting them in pole position in the USA Tokyo qualifications with a 4 point advantage on their direct opponents. The leading team before this Championship, Atlantic and Nora Brugman Cabot (Shelter Island YC) are over 30 points behind this top-10 duo on rank 21 and seem to be out of the fight for the Tokyo Olympic ticket after 7 of the 11 races in Vilamoura…
