Dream Yacht Charter has opened a new Caribbean base at Compass Point Marina, St Thomas, in the US Virgin Islands. The base opens in partnership with Virgin Islands Yacht Charters in the well-protected Benner Bay, said to be the only ‘legitimate’ hurricane hole in the Virgin Islands, and one that makes for a “wonderfully quiet and calm overnight for charter guests”.
Dream Yacht Charter founder Loïc Bonnet said: “St Thomas is an important base for us in the Caribbean and we welcome the new partnership. The natural splendour of the USVIs is often overlooked but now guests can experience this special part of the world, as well as the BVIs.”
Kristi Query, founder of Virgin Islands Yacht Charters, said: “The ease of travel, with non-stop ights from many international airports, o ers a convenience factor not associated with many other charter locations, as well as, cost-saving advantages.”
Dream Yacht Charter describe the marina as “quaint” and say it is “ set away from the hustle and bustle of the cruise ship tra c of St Thomas and just ve minutes from the Red Hook area”.
The marina features the Dive Bar, a popular, local hangout, and a store. Customers will be able to choose from monohulls and catamarans for bareboat and skippered yacht charters. The USVI eet includes a new Bali 5.4 and Saona 47, both with watermaker and air conditioning. Those looking for the “ultimate” experience can enjoy one of the all- inclusive crewed packages on luxury catamarans.
The USVIs consist of three main islands, St Thomas, St Croix and St John, which o er some of the most photographed bays and beaches in the Caribbean.
