Hosted by Rob Peake, group editor of Sailing Today with Yachts & Yachting, the ceremony features a message from Luke Patience, Olympic silver medallist and a member of TeamGB at the Tokyo Games 2021.
The British Yachting Awards 2020 also features Sailing Today with Yachts & Yachting editors Sam Jefferson and Georgie Corlett-Pitt, as well as broadcaster Paul Heiney, renowned sailor and author Tom Cunliffe, Olympic sailing coach Mark Rushall, leading supporter of sailing Andrew Pindar, RORC chief executive Eddie Warden-Owen, SailJuice founder Andy Rice and Timothy Long, who this summer became the youngest person to sail around Britain solo, aged 15.
And that’s not to mention the winners!
The digital ceremony reveals the year’s best cruising and racing yachts and dinghies, the best marinas, the greatest innovations in clothing and equipment, as well as the recipients of Outstanding Achievement of the Year, Event of the Year, Lifetime Achievement and our hotly anticipated Youth Sailor and Sailor of the Year awards.
Each winner is decided by a public vote – and more than 31,000 votes came in from around the world.
