Winning one of the two races on the final day of the Olympic Classes International Italian Championship, Charlie Buckingham USA grasped the title in the Lasers Standard one point ahead of Robert Scheidt BRA. Juan Maegli GUA finished 3rd. —– In the Lasers Radial, Annelise Murphy IRL was the winner in front of Silvia Zennaro ITA and Line-Flem Höst NOR. —– Winning 5 of the 7 races, Federico Colannino ITA dominated the Finns. —— Stellar performance also by Kevin Peponnet/Jérémie Mion FRA in the 470s ahead of Giacomo Ferrari/Giulio Calabrio ITA as runner-ups. On rank 3 followed Malte Winkel/Matti Cipra GER. Maria Bozi/Raffailina Klonaridou GRE on the 5th place were the best female team. —– The RS:X windsurfers and the Nacra-17 catamarans were not present in Follonica at the Italian Tuscany Adriatic Sea Coast.
