The Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation’s (‘PF’) seeks an editor-in-chief.
The organisation’s activity is centred on their charitable objective to advance the education of the public in the science and practice of navigation, with their principal activity being the provision and regular updating of their portfolio of cruising guides.
The PF works closely with publishers Imray and Adlard Coles as well as self-publishing a range of digital and printed cruising information.
The Editor-in-Chief’s role is centred on ensuring a high quality of content of those publications. The role requires a close working relationship with authors, with other members of the Foundation’s management team and also with the publishers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Editing and approving content in line with Foundation and Publisher standards
- Writing content for a range of applications including promotional
- Commissioning new authors and/or titles
The announcement comes as Jane Russell stands down from her role as Editor-in-Chief of the Pilotage Foundation with effect from Easter 2023, in order to embark on more extended cruising.
The role comes with a remuneration.
