The Chelsea Magazine Company is delighted to support Project Wingman by supplying thousands of free copies of its glossy magazines to NHS staff.
Project Wingman provides spaces for NHS staff to unwind and de-stress before, during and after hospital shifts – an initiative set up by aircrew who found themselves grounded during the Covid-19 epidemic.
All aircrew are well trained in how to communicate with colleagues in stressful situations. Their understanding of what it is like to operate in a pressurised environment is hugely helpful when medical staff need to share their experiences with people who can empathise.
Chelsea Magazines is donating free issues of The English Home, The English Garden, The Ultimate Baby Book, Artists & Illustrators, Classic Boat and Sailing Today with Yachts & Yachting to Project Wingman’s “first-class lounges” in hospitals across the country,
Says Chelsea Magazines chairman Paul Dobson: “The NHS has done a fantastic job throughout the Covid epidemic and we are pleased to be giving a tiny bit back in return. We hope the doctors, nurses and other staff will enjoy our magazines.”
